Airtel beefs up security for Lilongwe TTC demonstration school
Headteacher for Lilongwe TTC Demonstration School Caroline Majiga has applauded Airtel Malawi for the timely donation equipment that will enhance security at the institution.
In her remarks after receiving the donation today, Tuesday, Majiga said the donated equipment corresponds with the school improvement plan and that people will no longer abuse classrooms as rest rooms.
“Thanks Airtel for this timely response. Days are now over for people to use our classrooms as rest houses due to lack of security.
“Teaching and learning will be conducive for everybody as we are assured that school resources will be protected,” she said.
Airtel’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Norah Chavula said the gesture underlines Airtel’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing of the country’s education sector.
According to Chavula, Airtel realises that education is one key pillars that needs support in as far as the development of Malawi is concerned.
Airtel Malawi invested over half a million kwacha purchasing the equipment which included reinforcement rods, wielding rods, tile boards, door locks and first aid knits for all the 17 classrooms at the institution.

This is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Majiga, keep the fire burning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May God bless the future of Demonstration School.
Ndiye zomwe zikufunika zimenezi. Do the same for all the schools in our cities to shame the City Councils. If one school costs K0.5 million you will spend only K10.0 million to sort out 20 schools and that is a week’s profit. Bail out these schools. Fix glasses june akubwera ana angaume ndi mphepo. Once again, thanks Airtel, and keep it up!
