Airtel Malawi splashes MK93m in Tisangalale Promo

Airtel Malawi says it has  splashed  MK93 million in Tisangalale Promotion (Let’s Celebrate) since it  was launched some 14 weeks ago.

The mobile telecommunication operator launched the promotion to champion Malawi’s 50 years of independence after noting that the company has a social responsibility of turning Malawians into millionaires.

Speaking during the fourth Airtel Tisangalare Promotion on Tuesday, Airtel Malawi Brand and Communications Manager, Isabel Kachinjika said the promotion is one way of economically supporting customers as they celebrate the country’s golden jubilee of independence from colonial rule.

“At Airtel, we choose to be more caring and delight our customers all the time by bringing in locally relevant brand experiences through innovation promotion prizes,” said Kachinjika.

“We are very happy to note that by the end of today’s  (Tuesday,8 July, 2014) draw Airtel will have splashed a total of K93 million by reaching out to 72 people with K1 million each and 420 people each walking away with K50,000 cash prizes before the end of the promotion,” said Kachinjika.

During the fourth draw, two winners a Mr Kapachika and Mr Shyira Kumtima appeared at the function to collect their prizes.

This is the first time for Airtel to run such huge promotion where one lucky customer will smile all the to the bank with a huge K50 million (US$1228 50) as the grand winner.

Apart from the K50 million ultimate cash prize, six people will win K1 million cash on a weekly basis while five lucky people will be carting K50 000 (US$123) on a daily basis.
