Airtel partners Total Malawi on mobile wallet

Airtel Malawi through Airtel money and Total Filling stations have entered into a partnership to enable customers purchase fuel and other lubricants using Airtel money.

Announcing the partnership in Lilongwe on Thursday Airtel Malawi, Managing Director Saulos Chilima said the company is delighted to be associated with the number one filling station in the country.

“Being the number one mobile network we are always proud to be in partnership with number ones, we are with the Malawi netball queens and today, Total filling station welcome to our network,” said Chilima

Chilima added: “We have been in this country for over a decade now hence the Malawi market is very important to us as it is the Malawians themselves that have given us the vote of confidence by making us the largest network and the number 1 mobile service provider on the land. As a company, we appreciate the support the people of this country continue to give us hence such partnerships will help us delight our customers even more”.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Total Malawi Filling Station Michel Malatino said this marks the beginning of the good partnership with the leading mobile network to enable customers buy fuel using Airtel money.

“We are very happy that the partnerships will help our customers to buy fuel using Airtel money” said Malatino.

Total Malawi has 55 service stations across Malawi.
