Alliance Capital Stars crowed Presidential Champs  in Southern Region

Alliance Capital Stars were crowned 2016 Regional Netball Presidential Champions after beating Shizaella in a fierce battle on Sunday, November 21, 2016 at the netball cathedral, Blantyre Youth Centre in the commercial city of Malawi.

Alliance notched 38 baskets to 24.

The Mary Waya girls displayed classic netball through their match makersYamikani Davalasi, that Each time she  posses a ball, it lead into a basket to the delight of many spectators.

Shizaella showed their class in Doreen, but they lacked confidence infront of a goal.

Immediatley, after the final whistle was blown, Alliance players  were on cloud nine and the players went into a kwasa-kwasa dancing party.

Alliance Capital assistant coach Garvey Nyondo told Nyasa Times after the game that he was delighted for defending the cup.

“I am more than happy with my players and l can assure our fans that we will work hard during the national competition in Lilongwe,” said  Nyondo.

Joyce Chalusa, who is the vice person for Southern Netball Committee urged girls to work hard during such cups for them to stand a chance to be spotted by coaches from big teams.

“This is your chance to showcase your talent because we have coaches from big teams, who watch your matches,” said Chalusa.

For becoming champions, Alliance Capital went home with K250, 000 while  Shizaella  received K150, 000 for scooping second slot.
