The towering Davalasi  employed her  height and reach advantage over Shizaella   defender Florence to good use.

The pair were a marvel to watch as Alliance  eased to victory over a valiant Shizaella   outfit.

The Mary Waya girls  went on the offensive from the get-go, repeatedly hitting Davalasi  with passes over the top from midcourters Rabecca Damiano and Phalles  Mkama.

Davalasi, who is following into the footsteps of  the only Malawian foreign based netballer Mwawi Kumwenda   netted 16 of her 17 shots in the first quarter as Alliance  raced to a six –baskets  lead.

Goalkeeper Joyce Saizi   marshaled  from the back with authority and restricting limiting Shizaella’s  shooter  Hawa from notching in more baskets.

The match followed a similar pattern in the second quarter, as Alliance  put their foot down.

Davalasi again  and Memory  snared a combined 17 goal assists over the two quarters to take  Alliance  into the half-time break ahead.

Coach Mary Waya rung in the changes at the half-time break, introducing Edna for injured Davalasi, but she missed a number of scoring opportunities, no wonder Waya gambled by re-introducing Davalasi again in the last quarter.

In another encounter, Chilomoni Sisters beat Gerald Tasaukadala 40-32 baskets in a highly contested match.
