Alufandika rues ‘poor’ officiating, Tigers lie 7th in Malawi TNM Super League

Azam Tigers  Technical adviser Robin Alufandika blamed the barren draw with Civo United on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium to poor officiation.

Speaking after the game, Alufandika criticized the officials and said his team did not deserve a draw with the referee was competent in the TNM Super League second-round match..

“We were going to win the match but the refree decisions has robbed us victory,” said Alufandika who was in charge of the Tigers as coach Franco Ndawa is in Algeria with the Flames.

Tigers lie seventh on 31 points.

At Balaka Stadium, striker Kumbukani Mwambeni’s sole effort kept Red Lions still at sixth on 35 points after squeezing bottom-placed Karonga United deeper into the drop zone with a 1-0 win also yesterday.

United who lost 2-1 to Chikwawa United on Sunday have 13 points.
