This library will be used by over 750 students every year.

Handing over the library block, the  Chief of Mission said, “The U.S. Embassy is happy to help empower students by improving their education. I hope that this library open’s up an opportunity for you to study hard and improve your examination results.”

In September2014, the U.S. Embassy granted $6,000 to the Borelo Secondary School to procure materials for constructing of a library block.

Active in Malawi since 1966, the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund strives to address urgent development needs at the local community level and to demonstrate U.S. interest in the welfare and self-help endeavors of local communities throughout the country.
