Another life lost as National Bus, minibus overturn along Mzuzu-Karonga road
A bus belonging to the National Bus Service and a minibus were involved in road accidents Sunday afternoon and Nyasa Times has learnt that a life has been claimed with tens others sustaining serious injuries.
Despite failing to get hold of Victor Khamisi – Rumphi PRO – sources say the two vehicles were both involved in the accident in a space of ten minutes around Bolewole bend in Rumphi district.
A man believed to be the conductor of the bus died on the spot and several other casualties were rushed to Luzi and Chitimba Health Centres before being referred to Rumphi District Hospital and Mzuzu Central Hospital depending on the seriousness of their injuries.
The accidents come barely a day after another accident on the same road claimed 15 lives around Msiki area on Friday.
