Malawi’s National Statistical Office has announced a marginal increase in inflation from 7.8 percent in January to 8.2 year-on-year in February.

Sixty-five British MPs have signed a House of Commons Early Day Motion (EDM 564), which condemns Malawi’s arrest and trial of gay couple Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, who could be jailed for up to 14 years.
