These cars are indeed banned in RSA but is Malawi RSA??????? In RSA they ban them not because they are bad but cos South Africa has a very strong Car Manufacturering Industry so they’re trying to protect it & the jobs of those working in that industry. As long as it’s affordable let the people buy so that we can ease the transport… Read more »

Malawi a dumping site for some old cars and kaunjika. For how long are we going to go like this?We don’t even have some scrap yard to throw some old cars. You find some old cars dumped in a river ending polluting our environment.Malawians are not proud of their country.

Shaaa, how many units? 7636 units, if one averages a CIF unit cost of $2000, translates into US$15,272,000.00….MY Foot! Thats a lot of forex , no wonder they had to set up an office here in malawi. Anyway, theyre in business, reaping the benefits of their home grown akachenjedes who manufacture and recondition them. Ours are eating kanyenya at Kamba and Bwandiro, while blaming government on forex shortage and kwacha depreciation. They cant even manufacture toothpik, cotton thread or exercise book. We are doomed

Beforward is helping lots of Malawians. Galimoto of all types is not an issue anymore. Kutchipitsa sizinaoneka. Becareful though when choosing. Check mileage, general condition, interior, underside, rust etc. Usually engine problems not an issue and no smoke. generally, cars are well taken care of in Japan and sold cheaply than any other country in the World. The choice is yours.
