Big Brother audition in Malawi set for June 29

Multichoice Malawi has officially announced that the 2014 Big Brother Auditions will get underway on 29th June, 2014.

The company through its Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said the door is open to all Malawian youth who aspire to represent the country at this year’s Big Brother Reality show.

“All those wishing to audition are supposed to come on the first day and those who will make it will enter the next round that will take place the next day,” said Nyirenda.

Entries are only open to persons over the age of 21, who are citizens of one of the participating countries and must have a valid passport. As usual, 14 African countries are expected to take part in this year’s competition.

The countries are Botswana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Siera Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.

However, Angola will not participate and has been replaced by newcomers Rwanda.
Only those who are 20 years and above are encouraged to participate and according to Nyirenda, they must have a valid passport.

Season 7 of the popular continental show promises even more drama, loads of laughter and tears? The reality series hits the screens on 7 September, 2014.

Some of the Malawian representatives that were transformed into instant celebrities after taking part in the continental showpiece include Code Sangala, Lomwe, Fatima Nkata and Felicia Ng’oma.
