Phalombeans still morn the death of the 2nd Ngwazi, Bingu. Chances are if he had served his second term fully, the Zomba-Jali-Phalombe-Chitakale Road would have been completed by now. That road being the most extensive and meaningful infrastructure to be undertaken in the area. Kamuzu never did anything for those people over a quarter century. And the people will not forget that readily.
