The issues raised as pertinent as they may look will never be investigated or acted upon by the government. Which government can investigate itself? Malawians, we are deceiving ourselves. We will continue to nurse such dreams as long as we believe the executive can check itself. It will never happen unless and I repeat unless the public protector which in our case is the Anti corruption bureau is removed from the control of the executive. The government must be well aware that it was a Pastoral Letter which led to the downfall of Kamuzu Banda, a man who thought he was President for Life! The DPP government thinks it will be in power until 2024. The future is never certain even for Professor Peter Mutharika
