Blantyre United confirm Masanjala, Maupo technical role

Blantyre United have roped in seasoned coach ‘Sir’ Alex Masanjala to be the technical assistant with Maupo Msowoya as the team manager.

The club’s Director Lawson Nakoma has confirmed the two appointments.

Nakoma said Masanjala has come to Blantyre United with “purpose and exceptional confidence” to help build the side into one of the title contenders.

“I can confirm to you that we have roped in Alex Masanjala to be the technical assistant while Maupo Msowoya will be the team manager,” he said.

Nakoma said the extensive coaching experience of Masanjala will benefit them a lot and that they did not hesitate to take him on board.

Before joining Blantyre United, the former Civo United mentor was coaching Kabula United, formerly Escom United while Maupo Msowoya was Kabula United assistant coach.

Blantyre United also roped in Environ FC Coach Mario Gadaga to replace Elijah Kananji, who is with Big Bullets.
