Budget fashion chain PeP opens new shop in Blantyre- Bargains galore

Bargain-hungry shoppers queued for the long-awaited opening of a new PEP store Peoples Trading Centre (PTC) along Victoria Avenue in the commercial city of Blantyre on Friday

Hundreds flocked to the new store when the doors opened for the first time after it had been relocated from opposite the bus stands.

According to the Area Manager South, Evelyn Maneno, the store has been relocated to where it is now following customer’s complaints claiming the old location was congested.

“The old store was located at the bus stands, where most of our customers complained to have no spaces where they could park their cars as you know the area is jam-parked with minibuses.

“Now, showing a great care for our customers we could not hesitate but to bring our clients to a place where they must feel comfortable whenever they are coming in or going out of the store. Not only that but they should also feel secured with the environment in which they are and finding themselves good places where they can park their cars,” she said.

At the point of opening the shop, customers were asked to buy items of not less than K4, 000.00 which could earn them a chance to burst a balloon where a raffle draw ticket could reveal what a particular customer has worn.

Maneno added that customers who bought items worth that amount or more, have gone home smiling with several prizes like; travel bags, coffee mugs, kitchen utensils, and many more items with an MP3 radio player that is given once in a day for the two days up to December 1, 2012.

Atupele Maunda was the lucky winner who went away with an MP3 radio player.

She said customers should expect to see new arrivals in their stores on every Fridays and Saturdays for this Christmas season with huge price deductions.
