Bullets beats EPAC: Malawi TNM Super League

Big Bullets have a very good reason to smile for beating Epac FC 3-0 on Saturday to go level on points with title contenders Silver Strikers on the top slot in the elite TNM Super League encounter.

In a match which took place on Saturday at water logged Kamuzu Stadium, the People’s Team, who displayed a stunning performance, have now accumulated 55 points same with the Bankers only that the Bullets have an inferior goal aggregate  and Silver has  a game in hand as they face Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe this Sunday afternoon.

Bullets can win the championship if Silver fail to get three points in their games against KB and Wanderers next week, while they win their game against Red Lions.

Boy-wonder Gabadihno Mhango, who was also voted man of the match proved worth every penny in the league when he opened the score sheet  in the 20th minute when he scored from close range following a blunder by Epac defender Hastings Ngwira.

The unstoppable slippery striker  ust six minutes into the second half danced his way through before unleashing a hard shot, which was too much for Epac FC goalkeeper.

The goal was welcomed with a thunderous uproar as Big Bullets fans, who came in their large numbers chanted the usual  clubs national anthem, “ Sife koma Gabadihno.’

Bullets was the most enterprising team on the day, taking the capital city based out-fit head on with confidence and setting the pace in almost all departments.

The title pushers, who missed the services of their two reliable players Fischer Kondowe and Douglas Chirambo, who were serving cards, approached the second half a changed side putting Epac on the tight
rope, no wonder Chimango Kayira’s shot saw Epac FC keeper helpless to make his club 3-0.

Bullets coach Eding’ton Ng’onamo – who is acting Malawi national football coach – breathed  a sigh of relief for the victory and was visibly excited as he jumped and punched into the air to express his most profoundly joy.

In Zomba, Esom United lost 2-0 to Red Lions.
