Bullets beat Mighty Be Forward Wanderers in the charity shield organised by Football Association of Malawi and Malawi Blood Transfusion Services.

But the defending champions will put this behind in a bid to retain the title for the third consecutive year.

In other games set for Saturday two military outfit Kamuzu Barracks date Civo United while Mafco host Mzuni at Chitowe.

The game of the week probably is between Silver Strikers and Wanderers at Silver Strikers on Sunday.

Azam Tigers face Super League rookies Max Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium .

While I appreciate the longer period that Fisher Kondowe has played football in Malawi and more in particular his Big Bullets, I wish to advise him that its high time he considers on other avenues for his life.

But the SULUOM vice president last week told an evening sports talk program on one of the radio stations that SULOM statutes dont allow a league to start with less than 16 teams. If whatever he was saying is true then this is deliberately courting an injuction. Malawi football admin at its best!
