Bullets chair attacks newspaper

Big Bullets Football Club Chairman Malinda Chinyama has attacked and accused Nation Publications Limited (NPL) the publishers of  the daily Nation, Weekend Nation and Nation on Sunday newspaper together with its Senior Sports News Analyst Garry Chirwa accusing the media house and the reporter of being unprofessional.

This follows published reports carried out by NPL that have brought to light some of the ongoing internal administration wrangles happening in the Big Bullets camp.

In a fresh article carried published on Monday November, 11, 2013 wrote by Chirwa, Bullets trustees are shunning the problems happening in the camp claiming they may be accused of interfering the club matters.

The paper quotes former Big Bullets Treasure now player agent Kondi Msungama that: “We cannot pretend that things are well because behind the scenes, there is a lot of bickering, a situation that is not healthy at all. It is no secret that there are divisions within the executive between a group loyal to the Chairperson Malinda Chinyama and his Deputy Austin Kasito”.

Chinyama: Irked

The statement seem to have not gone down well with Chinyama who has responded through the social media.

“Nations publications Ltd is suffering from ‘Bullets wrangles’ the remedy is Garry Chirwa. For once leave Bullets alone!” wrote Chinyama on his Facebook page.

Chinyama believes he is among the few notable individuals who have stood by Bullets during all the difficult times the team has been going through.

Panali anthu they failed to run Bullets when the quid was flowing from Muluzi (Bakili-Former president of Malawi and sponsor of Bullets), what wisdom you will provide when you deserted the team when it needed you most. Fortune seekers and Gold diggers! For once can the Nation Newspaper observe media professionalism not the mercenary coverage?” fumed Chinyama.
