Bullets drawn to face winners of Silver/Epac in Malawi Presidential Cup

The battle line has been drawn in the prestigious Presidential Cup following the last-16 draw at Chiwembe Technical Centre in the commercial city of Malawi, Blantyre.

The mouthwatering draw, which was led by Football Association of Malawi (FAM)  Competitions Officer Gomezgani Zakazaka, Big Bullets will travel to the capital city to rock horns with the winners of Silver Strikers or Epac FC.

Silver and Epac meet in Lilongwe on Saturday for a playoff to determine the fifth team from the Central region

In another showdown, Moyale Barracks will tussle with their fellow military men Kamuzu Barracks with another all soldiers affair lined up between Cobbe Barracks and Red Lions.

Mighty Wanderers, who were the first team to win the competition in 2009, and the only side to have won it twice, had a relatively easy draw as they will face Chinamwali FC of Zomba.

Mikundi have a daunting task as they face Mzuzu United while Kabwafu and Chinangwa Madrid have also to sort each other out.

Karonga United is waiting in the  wings to find out whether they will meet Azam Tigers or Chanco basing on their playoff results on Saturday.

In the last fixture, Mafco FC will play Blue Eagles.

Fam’s competitions officer Gomezgani Zakazaka told reporters that the games will be played on15-16 of June,2013.
