The ‘Peoples Team’ will meet newly promoted side Chitipa United on Saturday at the Mzuzu Stadium before facing Moyale Barracks 24 hours later at the same venue.

Nyasa Big Bullets Assistant Coach Elijah Kananji said they need to start the new season by grabbing maximum points.

“If you want to start the League on a good note, you need to start by winning. It’s important that we win our game on Saturday against Chitipa and being our first game of the season, we need to set the standard for the year going forward,” he said.

Kananji said it is key for the players to enjoy themselves especially playing against a newly promoted side but at the same time understand the importance of collecting maximum points.

Bullets will be boosted by a number of key players like; Muhammad Sulumba, Cuthbert Sinetre, John Lanjesi, Dalitso Sailesi and Fischer Kondowe.

Chitipa United Coach Kondwani Mwalweni has warned Bullets to expect a tough encounter.

“We know Bullet’s strength and weakness, otherwise they should expect a huge mountain to climb,” he said.

In other games, on Saturday Be Forward Wanderers will travel to the capital city to face Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium, while Wizards FC will host Silver Strikers at Mulanje Stadium. In Chitowe, Dwangwa United will take on Masters Security.

On Sunday, Azam Tigers will lock horns with Silver Strikers at Kalulu Stadium while Blue Eagles will take on Mzuni at Nankhaka Stadium.

Blantyre United will travel to the old capital city to face Red Lions at the Zomba Community Centre ground.
