Big Bullets Football Club who are in contention for the TNM Super League title, haves welcomed the news of their tactician Eddington Ng’onamo appointment as head coach of Malawi national team, the Flames.

Ng’onamo is currently being praised for turning around Bullets fortunes since he took charge of the team last season while staring relegation in the face.

Bullets official however asked authorities to ensure they give the new coach “enough resources” to ensure he performs well.Hot-shot striker Gabadini Mhango of Bullets who is also a national team player said he was pleased with Ng’onamo’s appointment.

“Really happy for Eddie. He is one of the best coaches in football in Malawi,” said Gaba.

Ng’onamo is popular at Bullets because he has maintained, and even built on, the club’s reputation for doing things with dignity.

He however suffered unfair treatment at the hands of a certain section of Bullets fans when the team was not posting good results, they accused him and his assistant Gerald Phiri of being sympathizers of rivals Mighty Wanderers.

But Bullets supporters felt a particular bond with him when his team defeated Mighty Wanderers recently and went on a streak of victories to be title contenders.
