Speaking in an interview with Nyasa Times, CRBSC General Secretary Allie Mwachande hailed Impakt Events and its director Lucius Banda MP for their timely intervention.

“As Central Region Beach Soccer Committee, we are happy that Honourable Lucius Banda and the entire Impakt Events crew have come forward to bail us out. We planned the league be at K1 million and we
only had K500,000 we raised through a fundraising show but now we are glad we have all the needed money” said  excited Mwachande in a telephone interview.

Mwachande said in return to the kind gesture showcased by Impakt Events, they will make sure they woe all beach soccer followers to patronise the Busy Signal Concert scheduled to take place on 3rd
September at the Civo Stadium inLilongwe.

“We will fully support the Busy Signal concert and the Sand Music Festival through patronizing the shows. And as one way of honouring Impakt Events our league will be called Sand Festival Central Region
Beach Soccer League” he said.

When contacted for confirmation on the development, Impakt Events Director Banda said they decided to support beach soccer because it is one of the activities that happens at Sand Musical Festival.

Banda said there is a need to support beach soccer as it is fast becoming popular and is in the process of switching from a social sport into a main stream sport.

When asked whether it will be a continued relationship with CRBSC or it is just for this year alone, Banda briefly said: “We will continue supporting beach soccer”.

Impakt Events is fast becoming one of the event organising company’s to reckon with after bringing in a couple of well known international artists including Judy Boucher to the surprise of most Malawians who were doubting their capabilities.
