CCAP General Assembly says Malawi leader surrounded by ‘greedy’ aides who need transformation through gospel

The General Assembly of the  Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) is accusing President Peter Mutharika of shielding some suspected corrupt fta cats in the corridors of power and is seeking an audience with the Head of State over the matter.

Reverend Colin Mbawa; Greedy and corrupt people have surrounded President Mutharika

The assembly secretary general  Reverend Colin Mbawa said  President Mutharika and his henchmen are “not taking issues of stwerdship into account seriously.”

The General Assembly, which is an umbrella of the CCAP Churches in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia, plan to meet President Mutharika and raise their concerns.

Mbawa said President Mutharika has been surrounded  by “greedy” aides.

This is tantamount to saying that the president is all good, and is only surrounded by corrupt people. No, CCAP, the president is very much part of the problem.

I cant understand some of the comments. Should they not meet the president? After all, sananyoze munthu olo chipani. Is it not true that some nearby people to the HE are corrupt? Let us all love our country.

We cannot correct wrong with wrong. The Assembly is right to point out the wrongs by APM. The fact that he is not doing anything proves he is part of the scum. So many people are decrying the rampant corruption in Malawi, and there are many examples and yet the President sits phwiii as he has done on several occasions when the country has faced daunting challenges. This Clueless Leader!!! Please continue with your criticism Rev. M’bawa

Muntharika is greedy himself. It’s not about surrounding himself with greedy men. He knew what he was up to when he was choosing these men. It’s a well calculated plan. His aim was to cover 577 billion but it has backfired-MIDNIGHT SIX ON MY MIND.

CCAP General Synod be the last entity to say so. How many of their so called reverends have beed
advisers to the presidents on religious affairs or joined politics?
Reflect these: Rev Pat Banda, Rev Aaron Longwe, Rev Kaleso, etc. What have they done apart from joining the band wagon of plunders and victimizers.
