One element that has been overlooked here: the DPP were all over the place giving out money to the Councillors to vote a DPP mayor. Lilongwe Councillors ate the money and voted wisely. So too did Mzuzu Councillors. Apparently the Blantyre Councillors are the most greedy, the greediest, the mostest greediest in the land. So they followed their stomach. I hear they are yet to be paid for the services.
