I feel pity for the dundetheads. they are taking on advantage of lack of proper knowledge in the district. what sort of expenses may tally to develop a working plan up to that time? these are day robberies which need to be audited as soon as possible. Its not only 13mil, its more that, workers from DC have pocketing money for the development since beyond 2009 but no one is accountable. I am glad that the councilors have come out to point the DC about mis-squandering money for the development of our communities please the DC must be questioned where about the money the was donated to construct the Lufita Market. This money was eaten by the DC office and the Lufita Market has not been constructed. This money must also be accounted for. The councilors are right. 13 million just for production of a document . Are the officers responsible for such a task not technocrats in their field and on government pay roll ? Even if they were going to be paid allowances for going out in the process of their assignment would this require 13 million ? W e are informed that the money is gone but there is yet no document. There is a lot of siphoning of government money in our country for personal gain. Malawi will get no where with this kind of approach to doing government business.
