Chiukepo’s Nyasa Bullets future plunged into further doubt
Nyasa Big Bullets hitman Chiukepo Msowoya has been linked with a sensational move to Mighty Be Forward Wanderers after the striker turned down a new contract at the champions side.
Wanderers are said to be willing to stump up Chiukepo’s wages to lure last season’s joint top goal scorer (14 goals) to the Lali Lubani Road.
Chiukepo, who is currently with the national team, said his focus is on national duties and could not comment on his club’s future.
Bullets vice general secretary and the only official authorised to speak to the media, Kelvin Moyo said Bullets will reject bids from Wanderers on Chiukepo.
“We know that Wanderers want him, but he is a Bullets player,” Moyo said. “We will persuade him to remain our star.”
That would leave Chiukepo having to try to force his way out of the Peoples Team if he really wants to leave, something that appears unlikely.
