Civo, Mzuni and Karonga knocked out of  Malawi Carsberg Cup

The battle for for qualification into the round of 16 Carsberg Cup 2016 edition reached a climax on Wednesday 27th July, 2016 which saw four top flight league sides being knocked out of the prestigious competition.

Silver Strikers sealed their qualification into the round of 16 after beating their capital city rivals Civo United 1-0 in a tight match played at the Silver Stadium.

The Bankers scored the loan goal through upcoming star Mathews Sibale who has become a regular scorer.

Lower league side Warm heart Bullets are also through to the next round after stunning super league side Mzuni FC by a goal to nil.

At the Mzuzu Stadium, Presidential Cup finalists Moyale Barracks registered a hard felt 1-0 victory over fellow super league side Karonga United.
