However, Blue Eagles have advised Desportivo to wait “untilafter his current trials,” according to club vice-general secretary Benjamin Msowoya.

Msowoya said Desportivo have shown “serious interest” on Banda  who also underwent trials at Jomo Cosmos  but failed to get a contract merely on Premier Soccer League (PSL) side’s exhausting their foreign quota.

According to James Pondamale who is an agent in the deal, Ferroviaro  who from 1993 to 2002,  President of Mozambique Filipe Nhussi served as president of the club, are offering to sign the Malawian midfielder  on a year-long loan deal for  K800 000 tax-free monthly salary.

The deal also offers  a free flat, insurance cover, return air tickets for holidays and a game bonus of between $100 (K75 000) and $300 (K225 300) depending on significance of a game.

Pondamale said Banda has “an outright contract” waiting for his signature.
