CJ Banda ruled out for a month

Malawi national team midfielder  John CJ Banda  will miss Flames  game with Ethiopia after being ruled out of action  for a month due to an ankle injury he sustained during training last week.

Banda who has been an integral part of the Flames is set miss out on action for four weeks.

His goal earned the the team a place into the second round of the qualifiers after beating Benin 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium last month.

According to a medical report which Nyasa Times has seen, Banda fractured his right uncle and has been advised to be going for a check up three a week at Kamuzu Central Hospital.

Speaking in interview Banda said he is disappointed to miss out in action.

“This  is a mission we started together as a team and it has been my wish to finish together. All in all, I wish the team well for these games,” he said.

Banda has featured in 25 games for Flames scoring four goals in the process.
