Coach Osman cool on Wanderers title chances

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers Coach Yasin Osman says he is concentrating on winning the remaining assignments in the TNM Super league and not fighting for the title.

This follows Wanderers resurgence in the last three fixtures of the league with others tipping them of having a final say to the league title.

However, speaking to Nyasa Times, the former Wanderers and Flames international laughed over the claims and said he is not moved by the title talks.

He said his target is to ensure that Wanderers finish among the top 3 or 4.

“We are aware of the title talk among our local football followers. Yes, some believe we are the only team that has been consistent in getting positive results based on the previous three fixtures. But still more, we are too far behind the perking orders. I believe the title is for the current top  four  teams to win it or bottle it,” said Osman, an experienced tactician in the land.

“However, we are not completely ruling ourselves out of the race because we still have  mathematical chances. The good thing is that the current top teams in the league  will have to meet at some point and we are ready to capitalise if they drop points. It’s tit for tat,”said Osman.

Nyasa Big Bullets are at the summit of the log table only on goal difference with 45 points from 25 games with Blue Eagles and MAFCO on the same number of points but having played a game less than the defending champions.

Silver Strikers isfourth with 43 points from 23 games while Wanderers are sixth with 41 points from 25 games.
