Court orders Herbalist to return cash, property

The Mzuzu Magistrate Court has ordered a Herbalist who allegedly forged a Police stamp which he used to forge documents to obtain his debt from a former client to pay back the cash and return the goods he took.

Police nabbed Lot Shaba, 32, of Kanavuna Village, Traditional Authority Mzikubola in Mzimba district for forgery, obtaining money by false pretence and impersonating a Police officer. 

Shaba pleaded guilty to the charges on Tuesday but asked the court for mercy saying he has three wives and seven children.

The court is expected to pass sentence on October 24th, 2011
