Ghambi was speaking when he presided over the Dowa 50 th anniversary commemoration.

He said government cannot do everything alone.

The association chair MacDonald Kamdonyo, said they will build girls hostel as one way of giving back to the school which groomed the alumni to be where they are today.

Some of the alumni present included; Moses Kambala, Stone Chadzunda both former headboys, Alfred Munika, Charles Mkoka and Peter Kapsera.

During the function, head teacherRonex Banda, said the school needs a perimeter fence, girls hostels, recreation hal and additional teachers houses.

“We are 21 teachers here but there are only 11 houses what it means is that some have to stay outside the campus, which is not good,” said Banda.
