The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will again change its leadership rank of vice president for the second time this year after the newly appointed vice president for the central region, Ted Kalebe has been approved as Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union.
The Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of parliament has also approved DPP vice President responsible for the Eastern region Yunus Mussa as Malawi’s ambassador to Egypt .
Mussa has been approved despite the committe found out that he has all along been embellishing his credentials with a relative’s.
DPP recently appointed Kalebe as its vice president after Dr Hetherwick Ntaba was appointed and approved as Malawi High Commissioner to Britain.
The party will have to appoint new vice presidents for centre and eastern regions to replace Kalebe and Mussa.
PAC has confirmed all diplomats including lawyer Necton Mhura to be Malawi envoy in United States to replace Steve Matenje .
Former chairperson for the Council for Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA), Voice Mhone has been confirmed as diplomat to Germany.
Others confimed include Customer Service Manager at Standard Bank Malawi Chimango Chirwa who is heading to Ethiopia and the African Union.
Professor of Nursing and Midwifery at University of Malawi Kamuzu College of Nursing Dr. Chrissie Kaponda has been confirmed High Commissioner to South Africa.
Former Director of State Residences Edward Sawerengera will be heading to Brazil to replace Dr Francis Moto and former Nsanje North Frank Viyazi, High Commissioner to Mozambique.
Committee Chairperson Lingson Belekanyama has send his confirmation letter to the appointing authority President Mutharika.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
