Dzuka Malawi: Failure is for all of us

If you are so stupid to believe that someone can walk on water- welcome to the year of failure. Simple and pure. Look at Nyasa Bullets, the Peoples Team, tried everything is possible to beat Mighty Wanderers in the New Year and get the funny overpriced bus. If you are a Nomad- a team blessed with sponsors and yet refuses to grow, they think they are already riding the bus from Luso TV, which travelled straight to garage. I tell you what both teams are failures they have failed to use their supporter’s numbers to generate money. We are a proud nation of failures.

Take it to banks, they make profits, obscene profits I should add, but fail to activate the small scale businesses to start growing into small industries which will grow big. Most banks are so much in love with mortgage, salary based loans and borrowing Government- they forget at least the 18 million Malawians who each borrowed a million in two years, voila the bank would become proper banks, but lo! Our banking system is a failure- we are a nation of failures.

If I were Henry Kachaje of Economics Association of Malawi and Chancellor Kafelapanjila of MCCCI, I would stop talking, I would launch a very successful project and demonstrate to Government all elements of good governance and the like and grow it. Start from employing a single Malawian and develop to 200 within a period. I mean meaningful employment, then I would, from there use the examples and teach stubborn politicians. Lo! We love talking and writing on social media our economic failures yet we can’t manage a single farm of our own. Talkative failures.

Then comes the Civil Society, from the undemocratic John Kapito whose organisation CAMA has never had proper management structure, just like Rafik Hajat’s IPI or Timothy Mtambo and his Tumbuka club CHRR or CEDEP Jazz band and its lifelong leader r Gift Trapence or one man Jazz Band Human Rights defender Billy Mayaya. All these are classic failures, their projects are their mouths, their institutions have been dwindling and closing projects. They have run out of ideas and want to make us believe they can solve our nations sickness through media…..ha ha ha ha the worst bunch of greedy and undemocratic leaders are NGO’s, the ride in a 50 million kwacha 4X4 to inspect a project of MWK5 million. Mumudziwe Yesu a Kapito and  Trapence.

Yes, tiyeni timasulane!

Look at the thieving churches. The worst corrupt niggers are in church. Church projects are the bedrock of stinking corruption. If you see people busy proclaiming God-fearing nation, I would suggest you stone them.Yes agendeni, we have worst corruption everywhere, because where we are supposed to be taught not to steal, they steal with gusto. Giving your money to a street beggar is more blessing than to donate your one tambala to any church in Malawi. Colossal thieves, colossal failure’s are in church.

Turn around to Universities, they cant do research or innovate new ideas. They cant cultivate graduates to independent lives. Look at the Poly, they cant do any money generating ideas from mechanical engineering, accounting, journalism, business and architecture, a dead college. Nothing new from our Universities. A shame of University in the World where Professors go on strike for money, elsewhere University dons compete on how much money one brings in research. Our Universities are reason we are poor, we invest billions in them and get strikes and sex for grades. Dzianthu dzolephela kwabasi– or we say failures with distinction.

Everywhere we are failures, we are stuck with tobacco, we are stuck with noisy Charles Chuka at Reserve Bank, we are stuck with non-functioning Anti-Corruption Bureau, we are stuck with Councillors who have no idea of their work, we are stuck with everything wrong! Faliures, Failures big time faliures.

Then there two Kings of faliures, Lazarus Chakwera and President Peter Mutharika.

Chakwera cant re-organise his party in the Southern Region and dream of winning with Sidik Mia. Where have you seen Mia hold a political rally. Mia is just like Cassim Chilumpha, his popularity is based on cash services and in his constituency. Beyond that he is a political liability he cant even properly conduct a political rally. Ask Atcheya.

If Chakwera had proper ears, I mean political ears, he could be courting Atupele and use MCP veterans like Lovemore Munlo and stop firing of Jessie Kabwira, Joseph Njobvuyalema and Gustav Kaliwo. You cant win with  a poor structure in the South or East, it is a joke!

Then there is DPP. Their propaganda machinery is very personal that nobody pays attention. They are so obsessed with Joyce Banda who is enjoying her self-imposed exile with occasional remarks to provoke the DPP. The governing party is doomed to failure this year again if the corruption story remains as it is. Perception and momentum is that DPP is corrupt, no less firing of mot responsible for this image would change the narrative, other wise firefighting and whatever parade of miserable chiefs wont convince the voter another chance in 2019.

Then we have the President, waiting for the Maize scandal to blow all over his face before starting to act, we know ADMARC, Ministry of Agriculture and this Kaloswe Guy all lied. It will be massive colossal failure for Mutharika to believe the matter will go away….. maize scandal amid of hunger is the worst thing ever a Government to do to its poor people……….massive gigantic and quantum failure will be the President if he cant take action now and the public sees that he is clean from this pure enrichment on our misery. If not today, the easiest way is it cancel the deal, it stinks with corruption. It’s a bad deal!

The United Nations says while Tanzania, Mozambique and Zambia will grow to middle income countries by 2025, we will remain the only poor nation in the whole of SADC ha ha ha ha, we have more educated fools, more useless politicians and very useless citizenry still waiting on tribal politics, writing more on social media, drinking more than Carlsberg itself, importing useless things, sharing pornography, obsessed with prophets and religion, believer in witchdoctors and gossip, and of course breeding more than mbira. A proud failing nation.

My failing nation…..to my left fail, to my right fail, to my whatever fail, fail fail…….. !

I like this Rudo character. He writes brilliantly and tells it as it is. I’ve read all his Essays, and to me, the man is a Genius. It is his honest assessment of the Malawian Psychic and Mentality, that draws a lot of wrath from the comment section. We are indeed a bunch of failures all swimming in a Lake of mediocrity.
Bravo Rudo, tell the failures as it is. Looking forward to your next article.

You are a journalist and you fail to highlight colossal failures by Malawian journalist. Journalists who cant spell, don’t know the difference between reiterate and retaliate, or the difference between subsidise and subside, to name but a few of your failures. But above all journalists who don’t know how to refer to old pronouncements when interviewing people. Even if an individual contradicts themselves on what they have said before, you are unable to remind them by digging your notes. When it comes to bad spellings, bad grammar and the worst sentence construction, you Nyasatimes journalists are the worst bunch of… Read more »

But then how can banks lend money to the entire population of 18 million people and you are counting each and every Jim and Jack here and you know that’s just not possible or realistic. Give realistic examples

I don’t know why your article you had single out Timothy Mtambo by tribe as a Tumbuka and not the other. For example, my good friend and college mate Henry Kachaje is a Chewa but you didn’t mention that in your article. Per your article, are you surprised why we have failed as a nation?? It because we see each through the lens of tribes rather than Malawians. Such retarded tribalistic thinking has failed Malawi since independence. If you live in the glass house, don’t throw stones. Rudo Tariro, you are also a failure.
