Chilwa Approved School caters for Homeless children, Abandoned Children and Juveniles who have the potential to become productive citizens only if we show them love and educate them so that they can achieve their God given purpose here on earth and for the country.

The centre runs on minimal government funding which is also not reliable and its problems range from lack of clothes and blankets for the children to poor clean water supply due to non availability of batteries of the solar pump just to mention a few.

Lions Club of Zomba has organised the fundraising show which will be graced by Mayor of Zomba, Her Worship Joana Ntaja.

“It is a charity concent,” Mphatso Kamzingeni Zulu the fundraising chair told Nyasa Times.

“We decided to bring Edgar ndi Davis (Edgar Kachere and Davs Njobvu) to perform in Zomba for the first time since they left Chancellor College,” he said.

The duo trained as lawyers in Zomba.

The show will also be spiced by legendary Giddess Chalamanda and Anne Matumbi.

“Any sponsorship will be acknowledged during the show and after, you will also be allowed to display any promotional materials of your organization in the hall,” said Zulu.

The band is  commonly known for its hit Wazelezeka but recently launch the fourth album titled Energy Saver with popular song Ntchito Zina Zopwetekesa.

Edgar ndi Davis basks in the glory of other successful albums namely; Wazelezeka, Musamabwere Kumudzi and Dzubwera Mochedwa.

Great job Edgar and Davis, this is a commendable act! To the author why are you sugar coating your description of the users of this institution? Call a spade a spade. This is a reform school, home to some of Malawi’s young criminals period! I am shocked that from your description some children who should really be in orphanages or other form of care home are in this juvenile prison.
