I’m not on Facebook, Lucius Banda disown account
Malawi’s music icon Lucius Banda has said someone is impersonating him using his bio-data particulars at social networking site Facebook on the internet.
A cross-check on Facebook revealed that the musician has an account with his photos.
In an exclusive interview with Nyasa Times, Banda denied subscribing to any account on the fastest growing social networking site.
“I want to let people on Facebook know that l do not have an account, and if they have been charting with anyone bearing my name and photos just know that it is not me,” said the Balaka-based musician.
Many people on Facebook and Twitter run fake accounts especially by using names of celebrities.
The singer with 15 albums to his credit condemned as unfair such behavior.
“This is very bad because l do not know what these people interact, maybe it is dirty. Doing so is damaging my image,” he said.
Band stressed that he had no time to be facebooking because he spends much of his time in the studio or doing other businesses.
“I do not have time to be on Facebook. It is only my son, John who is on Facebook,” said the veteran musician.
pliz ppple see beyond ur noses if sm 1 says z not on fb that does not stop him from joing other networks. if u must know alot of pple nowadays do not like using fb coz its kind of amateurish & mostly, pple talk silly things. thus why the guy says hz son z the 1 on fb but that does not mean/stop him from interacting with pple on other websites coz there are lots of them like skype & the like. & even if he didnt subscribe/join any other social networking theres no harm in it, the guy z doing himself a favour as most of u will agree with me that ur lives were better off before u joined all these groups all in the name of networking. pliz pple wake up & give urselves a break if u cant give Lucius one.
