imagesMalawi’s up and coming R&B singer, Theo Thomson will perform at the Big Brother Africa (BBA) Revolution eviction show this Sunday.

The 24-year-old Pop/R&B star sensation, who is currently working on his debut, told Nyasa Times: “I’m very excited to represent my country on an international stage such as this.”

He added: “It hasn’t completely sunk in; I’m focused on doing my best to make everyone proud.”

The new kid on the block, who is second to the country’s hip-hop icon, Channel-O award-winner Tay Grin, adds: “It’s more of an introduction to the rest of Africa and establishing myself stronger here for the people that don’t know me.

“It’s an honour to be invited and that Malawi gets to showcase our country’s musical versatility and our prowess. As [Tay] Grin was the first for hip-hop, I’m there for the R&B and next time we can look to our local artists to fly the flag too,” observes the ‘So Amazing’ star.

Having taken Malawi’s urban music by storm with his contemporary hits and dancing antics, this will be Theo’s first time to perform outside the country after his return from the UK last year.
