Malawi needs to improve its domestic football first then the flames will perform better. FAM and SULOM should work on improving the game not concetrating on gate collection. Otherwise even the best coach do nothing with the current way of adminstering soccer. Lets move away from business as usual syndrom.

The underperformance by Flames reflect a general performance by Malawi in many fields. It is not surprising that Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world 50years after becoming independent. MBC is just a mouthpiece of the ruling DPP. Even the Community Colleges program is based on a fundamentally flawed reasoning that there is a huge demand for artisans that is not being met. Yet many artisans are not employed. Even self employment depends on sufficient demand for goods and services-that is a viable market. DPP has no vision, strategy and policy to transform this country .

There is a problem at FAM as well. These FAM dudes seem to be clueless in football administration- how would they appoint Constantine, the former coach of Nepal and leave that guy who was assistant to the Brazilian team at one of the world cup finals?

Don’t just blame the coach. The basis of our problems in football is adminitrative not technical otherwise how would competent administrators work with incompetent technical personnel for more than a year?

I wish Mtawali should impliment MYP tough rules to our boys if they are to be successful. Otherwise it is the same airy castles of Chimodzi. Our boys are unteachable bunch of loosers.
