Ex-Mzuzu University student Nkasala donates football kit to Mzuni FC
Former student to Mzuzu University has donated football jersies to the institution‘s football club playing in the flagship Super League, Mzuni as a token of appreciation for being part of the Mzuni family.
Nkasala, who graduated from Mzuni, said after presenting the kit: “As once a student, it is not that easy to combine [studies] and sports to the extent of having a space in the top league. What Mzuni FC does is a sign of hard work and commitment towards their studies and college. Such being the case, I felt that it was necessary for me to contribute to my former University with a football Jersey”.
This donation comes on the eve of Mzuni’s graduation ceremony where 800 students will be awarded different certificates.
The function was attendance was Mzuni’s Registrar Dr. Jedegwa who also doubles as Team Manager and Dr. Khumbo Kumwenda, the Mzuni FC Vice Chairman.
The leadership of the team thanked Nkasala for the gesture.
The cost of the jersies was not disclosed.
