Just to correct Mr.Zayakunkhongo’s remarks that Tanzania,Kenya,Uganda and Mozambique are drilling oil, that is true but, they are not drilling from Lake Tanganyika which is owned by Tanzania,Rwanda,Zambia,Congo and Burundi and they have agreed in principle not to drill dirty oil from the lake and as far as Lake Victoria is concerned,it is also agreed in principle by the three brothers Kenya,Uganda and Tanzania not to instal oil drilling platforms in the lake, but all citizens of the three nations are free to use the lake for fishing in any State without hassle. It is therefore shameful and un African for Malawians to deny… Read more »

The issue is about putting oil mining policies in place. Don’t think that this nation will go forward on its own. Sustainable development means develop but in a sustainable way not complete shut down to remain at the same spot. Please, advise to mine oil in a better way, other wise the future generation will find overrated villages of this nation called Lilongwe, Bush airports of Chileka, hospitals without Panadol in fact, they will start at the first level of poverty.

I love this man! but his name disturbs me a lot – Godfrey Mfiti. Does he really know what his name mean? I cannot imagine throughout your life people calling you Mfiti and expect not to be one. Again, when people ask. What is your name. You say! My name is Godfrey! I mean full name Sir, says the other. Oh! I am Godfrey Mfiti, simply call me Mfiti. Aiiiikhona! You are what your name says. I doubt if this guy goes to church really. But in case you or your loved ones or friends are reading this, then, please… Read more »
