FAM general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda aid Bullets’ application was sent to CAF on Tuesday backtracking on an  earlier statement that the club cannot be allowed to take part in a continental tournament.

“ Although they are yet to prove that they meet all the requirements to take part in the tournament, we sent the documentation because we did not want to be seen as blocking them from participating in the tournament,” Nyirenda is wuoted in The Nation as saying.

“Nevertheless, by December 31 CAF will determine whether their application has been accepted, “ said Nyirenda

Meanwhile, Bullets  general secretary Harold Fote told The Nation that there are prospective sponsors waiting in the wings to sponsor some of the team’s needs and that the club has also lined up a number of fund-raising activities including  to host a dinner where they are earmarking Vice-President Saulos Chilima as the guest of honour.

Bullets last took part in the continental showpiece in 2004, when they were sponsored by former president Bakili Muluzi. They reached the group stages and beat teams such as Orlando Pirates (South Africa), Zanaco (Zambia) and AS Villa (Uganda).

Good Luck BB to have your application considered favourably by CAF. Should that happen, you need to polish up your finishing and also create a bit more chances. Polish up your finishing from open play and dead balls (corners, free kicks and penalties) because life will be much harder out there. You are not to be the whipping boys in the competition. Meanwhile, a great many congratulations for beating Moyale to be crowned the undisputed Super League Champions for 2013/14 season.
