The Nomads General Secretary Mike Butao revealed in an interview with Malawi Broadcasting Corperation (MBC) on Friday.

But Butao kept a tight lid on some  of the important details claiming they are yet to finalise negotiations and working on final touches in the new deal.

He, however, expressed optimism that their Reserve and Youth sides will be considered in the sponsorship upon proposing to their sponsors who are screening the value the move will bring forward.

“In principle, the contract has been renewed from 1st January 2017” said Butao.

The team is expected to regroup and start preparations for the 2017/18 season on Tuesday 21 February.

Meanwhile, striker Peter Wadabwa has declared himself fit and ready to start training on Tuesday.

“I am ok and ready to start training next week for the league” Wadabwa told Wanderers website.

The sustained an injury towards the end of last season.

Wanderers cannot win the title this year.Too much talented stars are spoiling the team through supernatural beliefs – juju. A Yonanso ndiye mwini jujuyo. Mukukakamira a Wadabwa, Kamwendo okalamba kale. They failed trials in Japan coz they are grown-ups, worn out. Pezani achichepere akuthandizeni.
