Franco Ndawa confirmed as Nyasa Bullets head coach

Nyasa Bullets swallowed their pride to engage seasoned gaffer Franco Ndawa as head coach.

Ndawa: Now at Bullets
Ndawa: Now at Bullets

Ndawa was introduced to the Bullets family on Friday barely two weeks after the team shelved plans to recruit the former  Red Lions , Silver Strikers and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers coach to become their new mentor.

A Bullets official confirmed the development but did not divulge more details regarding the deal.

“Ndawa has indeed been recruited as head coach as you are aware that our head coach Mabvuto Lungu does not have a minimum requirements to take charge of the team,” said the official.

“I can’t say much because he will be officially unveiled after finalising finer details of the move.”

Ndawa, who played for Bullets and then Red Lions has been the centre of speculation alongside club legend Gilbert Chirwa.

But both Ndawa and Gilbert had been under scrutiny with the soft spoken coach lack of consistency at his former clubs ; Red Lions , Silver , Wanderers which denied him a league title after promising starts.

Gilbert has been out of action for years something the club considered engaging him would be taking a risk as the club gear up for a third consecutive league title buoyed by their landmark five year K500 million sponsorship from Nyasa Manufacturing Company.

Poor and very bad decision, he is a failureaas a coach and this arrogance by officials to fail to grasp supporters stand on this issue will cost bullets a lot, believe me.
