Fredokiss names his new album ‘Ghetto Angel’

Ghetto Gutter Entertainment rapper, Fredokiss, has disclosed that his new album which will be dropping this year is titled ‘Ghetto Angel’.

The Blantyre-based hip-hop artist will be releasing the record two years after he dropped his debut ‘Kunditcha Fredo.’

He already has one single out called Sindikwatira, whose video came out on 25 August. Another song titled Bread Winner featuring R&B singer Eddie is expected to be released today.

Ghetto Angel is generally inspired by day to day issues mainly from the peri-urban setup. It’s more of a responsive piece so to say. I respond to what I see and hear,” he said.

Fredokiss said  Ghetto Angel is different from Kunditcha Fredo because his new release is a message of hope while the 2012 record was a statement he was making as an MC/poet.

“An angel comes with a message, so this album is basically a message of hope, faith and self-belief as in ‘Bread Winner’. It also has celebration themes whilst encouraging hard work in a realistic modern youthful set up like in [a song called] Make Money featuring Blasto,” he stated.

The rapper has worked with Marcus of the Daredevilz on most of the beats. Recording was done at Exclusive Records in Lilongwe by BFB, who also made some beats and mixing, and V2’s Next Level Music in Blantyre.

On the new album, Fredokiss features Blasto, Daredevilz, Eddie, 4Sight, Shyreen, Jew Chapomba and Ace Dirty.

Locally,  Ghetto Angel will be released and promoted under Ghetto Gutter Entertainment and on the international scene it will be promoted by a South Africa based Southwood Entertainment.
