Fresh injuries  rock Nyasa Big Bullets

Nyasa Big Bullets have been dealt a serious blow ahead of the 2016 season with a series of injuries and the latest being of their new signings Emmanuel Zoya and John Lanjesi.

Zoya sustained an injury during the friendly matches against Mafco FC and Silver Strikers in Lilongwe, while Lanjesi got injured during Wednesday’s training session.

Another player on the injury list is Sankhani Mkandawire, Chikondi Likwemba, Mac Pharen Ngwira, Pilirani Zonda, Vincent Gona and Muhammad Sulumba.

Bullets team manager Rahim Ishamel told Nyasa Times that a number of their players are injured but stressed no need to press the panic button.

“We still have weeks before the 2016 season kicks-off. We still have some players who we are banking our hopes if some of the injured will not be fit by 16th April when the League will kick-off,” said Ishamel.

He also said so far so good in the peoples team in as far as preparations are concerned.

Bullets Technical Director Billy Tewesa also revealed another signing in the Peoples team from Wizards FC.

Tewesa said they have secured the services of Wizards striker Mike Nkwate.

This season Bullets roped in Civo United duo of Emmanuel Zoya and John Lanjesi, They also brought in Muhammad Sulumba, who was on loan at Mighty Be Forward Wanderers from Blantyre United.

The Peoples team also managed to secure the services of Amadu Makawa from Dedza Young Soccer, Ernest Kakhobwe from Azam Tigers.

Also in the Peoples team is former Blantyre United midfielder Jimmy Chikulekule.

They were also boosted with news that striker Chiukepo Msowoya signed another one year extension.
