The player who is in his debut season at Bloemfontein Celtic has so far managed to score nine goals one behind the leading scorer Bernard Parker of Kaizer Chiefs who has banged in 10 goals.

“I feel good to compete with people who have been playing in the league [PSL] for a long time” Gaba said.

He emphasized that his target is to win the golden boot but could not promise how many goals he intends to score in the remaining two games of the season.

“I cannot promise how many goals I will score only God knows but what you should know is that I will be the top scorer” said Mhango.

Meanwhile, Mhango who claim to have completely dedicated his life to football says Malawian players are among the best in the continent based on the performance they are currently displaying at the international level.

He also urged those playing in the domestic league to work hard and breakthrough into professional football.

Other Malawian strikers are also able to bang in goals in South Africa.

These include Atusaye Nyondo, veteran Esau Kanyenda and midfielder Robert Ng’ambi.
