Gaba still club hunting in South Africa: Now at Free State Stars

As the Big Bullets and Malawi international striker Gabadihno Mhango  search for greener pasture continues, reports have emerged that the player is now undergoing trials at third South African team, Free State Stars.

The player left the country over a month ago to try his luck at Amazulu before jumping the ship to land at Bloemfontein Celtic.

However, the 20 year old lad failed to land a contract with either of the two teams.

South Africa football magazine Soccer Laduma reported on Monday that Mhango was having a test with Free State after being released last week by Bloemfontein Celtic then AmaZulu three weeks ago.

The player has since confirmed that he is training with the team and that he is doing his best to land a deal.

But Free State general manager Rantsi Mokoena has offered no hope that Mhango might make the grade before he international transfer window closing on July 31 2013.

On the other hand, Big Bullets appear to be in the dark on the status of their star striker with club secretary Higer Mkandawire quoted on Zodiak Broadcasting Station Monday night that the striker will be back home on July 31, 2013 while South African media reports the striker is on trials at Free State Stars after undergoing trials at Celtic.

It is not clear what has transpired for Celtic not to sign the player, who has been scoring vital goals during his trials.
