Malawi Achievers Awards –SA adds Gemini Major, DJ Waxxy to list of performers

Organisers of the Malawi Achievers Awards  – SA  have confirmed adding Malawian excelling talent in South Africa Gemini Major and Nigeria’s DJ Waxxy as part of this year’s performers.

Gemini Major is signed to Cassper’s Family Tree Label and he has recently dropped his his single Ragga Ragga featuring South Africa’s top hip-hop stars including Cassper Nyovest himself and Rick Ricky.

The two artists will be joining Buffalo Souljah, Tay Grin, Fredokiss, DJ Tabs, Janta, Nesnes and the Swagg Boiz who were already confirmed to perform at the highly anticipated show expected to take place at Scarlet Ribbon in Edenvale next Saturday, July 9.

Furthermore, Mbiri Events also announced that the show will be hosted by Dennis ‘Mr So’Favoured’ Imaan, a popular Tourism Activists and Social Changer who will collide shoulders with Malawi’s budding female Afro Pop star Spotless, real name Temwa Gondwe.

“We just want to make this typical Malawian event at an international stage. We added Gemini Major because he has been shining a lot in South Africa and we believe he can interact with his country. For DJ Waxxy, he is regarded as one of the finest DJ’s in Africa and such talent cannot be passed by.

“As announced, Dennis Imaan and Spotless will host this year’s show and they will be travelling to South Africa next week when travel arrangements are through. Malawi Achievers Awards are for everyone, the old and young and we believe we will get the support from all,” explained Samuel Mwale, the event Coordinator.

According to Mwale, ten awards will be presented to ten personalities in different fields including Sports, Entertainment, Social Work and Good Will.
