MP Juliana Lunguzi: need to bring the sensitisation activities even to rural areas.

“We are determined to deal with gender based violence but this is a surprise that 100 cases can be recorded before the 16 days of activism come to an end,” she said.

Malawi joined the rest of the world in commemorating the gender based violence from November 25 to December.

Kaliati also urged men not to suffer in silence, saying they needed to report to authorities if their faced gender based violence.

Ambassador for Girls Network Juliana Lunguzi said there was need to bring the sensitisation activities even to rural areas.

“This campaign should be vibrant even in rural areas,” she said.

Both Lunguzi and Kaliati agree that there was need to scale up programmes to end the gender based violence.
