Gerald Phiri Jnr impresses Platinun Stars coach after trials

Malawi  international midfielder Gerald Phiri Junior is reported to have impressed Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson during a one week trial at the Dikwena’s.

South Africa’s Kick-Off Magazine reported on Monday 10th October, 2016 that the Dikwena’s are set to offer the gifted left footed midfielder a contract after he impressing the coach and his technical staff.

The magazine has quoted Johnson who says the decision to sign the player is in the hands of the club management.

“I am happy with what I saw. It’s no longer up to me [If he is signed or not]” Johnson is quoted as saying.

The former Caps United player was loaned by Bidvest Wits University to Township Rollers last season..
